Veterans Affairs

The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) administers quite a bit of the extensive benefits available to military and former military personnel and their families. Veterans and their families may be eligible to receive unclaimed funds totaling at about $33 million, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Eligibility for certain benefits may require a minimum of two years of documented service, while 30 days of documented service is enough to qualify for other benefits. Remember, it is not just the Veteran. Benefits are often available for Dependents and Survivors as well.

And, the VA implements and coordinates programs for Veteran-owned small businesses. Annually, VA offers help to Veteran-owned business and works with them to locate government and corporate procurement opportunities.
